These are the places I’ve skied on three different continents since 1986. If your favourite resort is missing, it means I haven’t been there …. yet.

Note, I only count outdoor slopes where skiing with natural snow is possible (although snow cannons are allowed for a top up). Dry slopes and snow domes aren’t being listed.

  • Chamonix (Mont Blanc area, Courmayer – Le Tour – Argentiere – Chamonix – Les Houches – Megeve – Combloux – Les Contamines) , Haute Savoie Region – Home of the Worlds longest ski run
  • Meribel, part of the 3 Valleys (Courcheval – La Tania – Meribel – Motaret – Les Menuires – Val Thorens – St Martine de Belleville), one of the (or possibly even the) largest lift linked ski areas in the world.
  • La Plagne. (Paradiski linked to Les Arcs)
  • Val d’isere, Espace Killy ski area (linked to Tignes).
  • Les 2 Alpes.
  • Alpe D’Huez.
  • La Bresse-Hohneck (Vosges).
  • La Rosiere (Espace San Bernardo, linked to La Thuile in Italy)
  • Sainte Foy
  • Portes du Soleil , France and Switzerland (Morzine, Avoriaz, Les Gets, Chatel, Champery, Champoussin, Morgins, Torgon, Abondance)
